The most complete line of cryogenic vials available today, these polypropylene vials are designed for storing, human and animal cells, blood, serum, and other biological fluids at temperatures as low as -196oC (use only in the gas phase of liquid nitrogen). All vials are sterilized by gamma radiation and are packaged in tamperproof, resealable safety lock bags of 100. If needed, the vials can be autoclaved. They are available in 3 different configurations and in 5 sizes with volumes ranging from 1.2mL to 5mL with a large white marking area and printed graduations. The vials are available with a round bottom or self-standing. The self-standing vials have a locking base which allows opening and closing the vial with only one hand when the vials are used with the Workstation. The round bottom vials can be centrifuged up to 17,000g. The caps can be color coded using a cap insert. Caps for the External Thread Vials have a long skirt to help ensure one hand aseptic methods and a thread design that allows closure and removal with only a 11/4 turn and does not contribute to any possible contamination. The design of the Internal Thread CryoVial allows for closure and removal with only a 11/4 turn Caps and tubes are certified RNase, DNase, Pyrogen and DNA-free. Bar code printing is available for all tubes. Because the tube and cap are both made from polypropylene, they both have the same coefficient of expansion which ensures a leak proof closure over changing temperatures.
